AS WE DEVELOPED THE PLAN, WE FELT DRAWN TO IT.  THE X-32 GROWS ON YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY AND AFTER YOU BUILD AND FLY IT,  YOU TOO WILL AGREE:  THE X-32 IS A BEAUTY!  AS YOU CUT AND ASSEMBLE THIS PLANE YOU'LL SEE THAT IT TRULY IS A SIMPLE PLANE - ONLY A FEW PIECES MAKE UP THE X-32. THE CONTROL SET UP IS ALSO EASY. A TWO SERVO ELEVONS ONLY SET UP, A THREE SERVO ELEVONS AND RUDDERS SET UP OR THE RECOMMENDED FOUR SERVO ELEVONS AND VTAIL SET UP ALL WORK.  SINCE THE RUDDERS WORK REALLY WELL, WE SAY  USE THEM!

**CG IS CRITICAL SO PLEASE STICK WITH RECOMMENDED CG!**

THIS PLANE HAS NO THRUST VECTORING SO WE RECOMMEND FLYING IT SCALE: FAST, BANKED FLY-BYS, EASY ROLLS AND LONG LOOPS.  DID WE MENTION YOU CAN TAXI THE PLANE ON GRASS? ITS SHROUDED PROP MAKES FOR GREAT LOOKING TOUCH AND GO'S TOO!
IF YOU ARE A FAN OF KF AIRFOILS, WE WOULD RECOMMEND THE FAST AND STABLE KFM4.

ABOUT

THE BOEING X-32 IS ONE UNIQUE LOOKING PLANE.  IT'S NICKNAME "GUPPY" STEMS FROM IT'S MOST UNUSUAL FEATURE: ITS LARGE CENTRALLY LOCATED AIR INTAKE. BUT THE ONE PIECE DELTA WING, LARGE LIFTING BODY FUSELAGE AND VTAIL SURFACES ALL MAKE THIS A PLANE THAT LOOKS AND FLIES LIKE NO OTHER PLANE!  BOEING'S X-32 WENT UP AGAINST THE LOCKHEED MARTIN X-35 IN THE JOINT

STRIKE FIGHTER COMPETITION TO FIND ONE FIGHTER THAT COULD MEET THE NEEDS OF THE  AIRFORCE, NAVY AND MARINES.  IT NEEDED TO BE STEALTHY TO DEFEAT RADAR,  STRONG FOR SEVERE AIR CRAFT CARRIER DUTY AND HAD TO HAVE VERTICAL TAKE OFF CAPABILITY TO REPLACE THE  HARRIER JET FOR MARINE DUTY.  BOEING'S SIMPLER DESIGN, WITH A MORE TRADITIONAL DIRECT LIFT SYSTEM AND ONE PIECE WING WITH MODULAR BUILD TECHNIQUE LOOKED LIKE A WINNER,  BUT IT WAS X-35 THAT WAS GIVEN THE CONTRACT.  IN LIGHT OF THE COST OVERRUNS,  UNRELIABILITY AND COMPLEXITY OF THE CURRENT F35 PROGRAM, WE WONDERED WHETHER  THE BOEING X-32 WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER CHOICE.

SO WE BUILT ONE!!
